New York is a fast-paced, culturally rich and diverse city, with a wide array of artists and companies to discover. With an estimated population of well over 8 million, it’s the most densely populated city in the United States and the largest metropolitan area in the world by urban landmass. It’s no wonder it’s dubbed the cultural, financial and media capital, with an influence that affects almost every facet of society, such as entertainment, technology, art, fashion and sports. It is no wonder why chose to visit here next. The passion and culture encouraged us to take the flight the moments we shared there imprinted on our soul.

It’s estimated that around 800 languages are spoken in New York, which just goes to show how diverse the population is; and with 3.2 million people born outside the United States living there, there is a wealth of culture to experience and enjoy. The Statue of Liberty still stands, initially erected to welcome immigrants as they came to the U.S in the 19th and 20th centuries, and it remains a national symbol of liberty and peace. Perhaps that’s why, after a 2019 survey of over 30,000 people from 48 cities worldwide, NYC was voted the greatest city in the world, with each participant citing the cultural diversity as the reason for their vote.

Another wonderful aspect of New York is how many famous landmarks there are to visit. Various films, books, paintings and plays have been inspired by the archaeology, history and culture of the city. It’s unique and full of heart, able to attract visitors from all walks of life and enrich their lives with the sheer number of things to see and do. Whether it’s basking in the lights and catching a play on Broadway, riding the 24/7 subway to a Chinatown and experiencing authentic Asian cuisine, going for a stroll in Central Park or taking in the view at the top of the empire state building, New York will take your breath away. Of course, those are the staple visits but as we dig deeper into our bundle this quarter you will realize there is so much more than meets the eye.

The arts are particularly appealing to those who visit and live in NYC. Starting in 1880 with the advent of electric lighting, elaborate theater productions saw the city’s inhabitants flock to Broadway to enjoy the lights and performances, all of which were largely inspired by immigrants such as Harrigan and Hart and George M. Cohan. Their themes of hope and ambition resonated with the masses and sealed NYC’s reputation for talent and creativity. Nowadays, over 2,000 arts and cultural organizations and more than 500 art galleries exist, reflecting the significance and importance of how the arts represent and shape entire communities.

Whether you’re living or visiting this incredible city, what you can be sure of is its diversity in all things. New York is the 5th most entrepreneurial city in the U.S, with small businesses making up 99.8% of all its businesses, meaning more than half the private workforce has something unique to offer! So, if that’s not reason enough to go shopping, nothing is! If you have not visited or have not been back in bit this is the perfect bundle to feed your travel enthusiast inside of you and learn about the city from a different perspective. We are so excited to share this with all of you.
